On the afternoon of March 9, 2025, the Austin Fo Guang Association Chinese Subchapter successfully organized a spring outing. Led by President Joseline, the event aimed to provide an opportunity for relaxation, scenic appreciation, and social interaction.
The main activity was a boat cruise on the famous Lady Bird Lake in Austin. After a vegetarian lunch, participants gathered on time to board the boat, enjoying a leisurely cruise on the tranquil waters while admiring the beautiful scenery along the shores. Despite the strong winds that day, the atmosphere remained pleasant, adding to the refreshing feel of spring.
During the cruise, the subchapter thoughtfully provided snacks, fruits, and bottled water for everyone. A tour guide also shared the history of the lake, enriching participants’ knowledge. At the end of the event, attendees engaged in friendly interactions and sang Let It Be together, concluding the outing on a joyful note.
This event not only offered an unforgettable sightseeing experience but also strengthened friendships and group cohesion.
