Ven. Yung Guang Encourages Siddhartha Training Program Students as They Showcase Artistic Talents

On August 15, Fo Guang Shan (FGS) Philippines Head Abbess Venerable Yung Guang, together with Monastery Supervisor Ven. Chueh Lin, visited the Guang Ming College Cebu Camp to personally encourage students of the Siddhartha Training Program. She reminded them to cherish their time at the institute and to make the most of every learning opportunity.

The students presented a vocal showcase, highlighting the progress they had achieved in their recent training. Guided with care by their teachers, the stage came alive with heartfelt singing that expressed both youthful passion and artistic talent. High school students were also present as observers, eager to absorb inspiration and artistic nourishment.

Upon arriving at Chu Un Temple, Ven. Yung Guang was moved by the sight of the institute filled with light and resonant with music. She remarked that the vibrant atmosphere was a living testament to the vision of Fo Guang Shan founder, Venerable Master Hsing Yun, who established a stage for young people in the Philippines to pursue art and nurture their dreams.

During the program, Executive Director Junrey introduced the third batch of Siddhartha Workshop students. Each trainee gave their best performance, demonstrating growing artistic excellence with every new generation. Many sang their favorite songs, weaving talent and dreams into their stage presence. Amidst the audience’s applause and encouragement, the students expressed their heartfelt wishes: to learn with dedication and to turn their dreams into reality.
