Reported by The Life News Agency, Hsi-Hsiu — Austin
On the morning of November 7, 2025, twelve high school students from St. Andrew’s Episcopal School (USA), led by teacher Jennifer Hsiao, visited Xiangyun Temple for a cultural and religious immersion experience.
Venerable Jue-Ji welcomed the group on the Path to Buddhahood and guided the students to the Great Buddha Hall to watch a short film on the Life of the Buddha. The venerable then introduced the Diamond Sutra and the Three Buddhas, explaining how Humanistic Buddhism emphasizes “practicing like the Buddha,” and cultivating compassion and wisdom through the Bodhisattva path.
Later, Venerable Yong-Jia demonstrated the art of tea ceremony, while Venerable Jue-Ji explained its beauty of focus and tranquility. The program also included calligraphy and martial arts classes, allowing students to experience both the elegance and vibrancy of Chinese culture through brushwork and movement.
The visit concluded with a group photo on the Path to Buddhahood, where each participant received a small commemorative gift from Xiangyun Temple—bringing this culturally enriching and spiritually inspiring journey to a fulfilling close.
