【本報綜合外電報導】美國有線電視新聞網（CNN）報導，挪威大西洋航空（Norse Atlantic Airways）一架波音787夢幻客機（Boeing 787 Dreamliner）15日降落南極大陸，創下首架夢幻客機和最大機體降落南極等兩大里程碑。

夢幻客機N0787號13日自奧斯陸出發，飛往南極毛德皇后地（Queen Maud Land），當地沒有一般傳統建材打造的跑道，飛機克服種種挑戰，於15日首次降落在巨魔機場（Troll Airfield）「藍冰跑道」（blue ice runway）。該跑道由冰雪砌成，長3000公尺、寬60公尺，均溫-25℃。

本次降落挑戰在於沒有無線電導航系統引導飛機，機場也無法提供任何測量速度與方向的協助。
