關懷獨老 長青義工送綠到家

【記者王淑芬高雄報導】高雄市長青中心近來培訓一支百餘人的「長青義工」，即將於五月啟動，讓義工帶著艾草、枸杞或薄荷等盆栽訪視獨居長輩，以氣味、香氛打開長輩的心扉，讓他們參與澆水、施肥。

長青中心主任于桂蘭昨日指出，去年底召募百餘人的長青義工，讓義工了解「送綠到家」計畫，教導義工用園藝帶領長輩參與培養栽植，同時認識植物，如艾草、薄荷及枸杞的過程，認識草本植物具有舒緩精神的效益。

未來要讓義工帶著草本植栽訪視獨居長輩，陪同他們栽植、照顧植物，也作為茶飲，希望在彼此的互動過程中，增進信任，引領長輩進入社群或日照據點，擴大社交層面。
