北投昔日盛產唭哩岸石，在清代時便已被大量開採，因價格較低且量大，是清代時北台灣使用的在地建材之一，曾拿來建台北城牆。行經北投奇岩捷運站附近的三合橋，可看到橋墩兩旁畫了數輛牛車載石的畫像，呈現在地的歷史意涵，下回經過時，不妨仔細看看喔 !
