加拿大禁外國人買房 難民除外

【本報綜合外電報導】加拿大禁止外國人購買住宅的法案於一日生效，目的是在住房短缺之際，為加拿大本國人提供更多房屋。許多專家還表示，對外國買家的禁令，不會產生使房屋更便宜的預期效果。據國家統計機構的數據，外國買家占加拿大房屋擁有權不到百分之五。專家認為，推出更多住房建設，才能滿足需求。

法新社報導，不過法案中也有幾個例外情況，允許難民和永久居民等非加拿大公民買房。這項為期二年的臨時措施是總理杜魯多（Justin Trudeau）在二○二一年競選期間所提出，當時房價飆漲使許多加拿大人無法擁有房屋。

自由黨當年大選獲勝後，悄悄推出《禁止非加拿大人購買住宅法案》。溫哥華和多倫多等主要市場也對非居民和閒置房屋徵稅。
