《聖經》地理先驅 呂榮輝辭世

【本報高雄訊】高雄聖光神學院第三任華人院長呂榮輝博士，於二月九日安息主懷，享耆壽九十五歲。十三日上午，聖光神學院於高雄循理會舉行追思禮拜，多位牧者及聖光神學院校友一起緬懷呂榮輝的敬虔風範。

呂榮輝在一九七七年曾赴約旦及以色列「聖地實地考察」一個月，從此投身「《聖經》地理」這專業領域四十餘年，不只在美國地理學家協會首倡「《聖經》地理」研究教學，也在自己任教的北愛荷華大學開課教授「《聖經》地理」，成為美國首間設立這堂課程的州立大學。此外，呂榮輝博士也創建「聖光聖經地理資訊網」，主要內容包括《聖經》地理概論、聖地區域地理及聖地各地相關資料，加強大眾對《聖經》的認識，可謂「《聖經》地理先驅」。
