在美大貓熊樂樂死亡 中方關切

【本報綜合報導】中國動物園協會官網宣布，在美國的大貓熊樂樂（LE LE）於當地時間一日被發現死亡，對此深表遺憾、惋惜，中國大陸相關部門對於大貓熊驟逝十分關切，將組建專家團隊赴美，聯合當地專家展開死因調查。

中國動物園協會表示，樂樂在一九九八年七月出生，二○○三年赴美國孟菲斯動物園開始合作研究，帶給美國民眾許多歡樂，受到美國人民普遍喜愛，為促進兩國大貓熊保護合作和人民友好交流，發揮了重要的橋梁作用。

據中國網一月三日報導，作為中、美共同保護和研究大貓熊計畫的一部分，雌性大貓熊丫丫和雄性大貓熊樂樂，在二○○三年四月抵達孟菲斯動物園開始旅美生涯，協議期限為十年，二○一三年到期後又延長了十年。

考量丫丫、樂樂邁入老年期，加上丫丫患有皮膚病，中國動物園協會先前即和對方協商，欲接回兩隻大貓熊。
