【本報綜合外電報導】視訊會議軟體平台Zoom的公司7日宣布，因疫情趨緩導致需求降低，將裁員約1300人，相當於員工總數的15%，相關成本上看6800萬美元（約新台幣20億4000萬元）。據法新社報導，Zoom Video Communications執行長袁征在部落格表示，今年將自己薪資縮減98%並放棄執行長獎金。他還說，他的領導團隊成員薪資今年也將減薪20%，並不發獎金。袁征在部落格中指出，「世界轉至後疫情生活模式」，雖然人們和企業仍依賴Zoom軟體服務，但設於矽谷的Zoom正見到客戶縮減開支。袁征表示，在疫情期間，人們使用這個平台於遠距工作、法院庭審、社交活動等，Zoom也因需求增加而將員工人數擴大至3倍。由於全球經濟嚴峻，企業行之多年的高支出已轉為撙節，Zoom也加入愈來愈多美國科技公司裁員行列。
