【人間社記者林麗芳雪梨報導】為緬懷澳紐戰爭的傳統日「澳紐軍團日」（Anzac Day） 。二十五日國際佛光會雪梨南區童軍團應邀，參加Kogarah區軍人戰爭紀念碑黎明紀念儀式（ANZBC Dawn Service），隨後，前往Hurstville及高嘉華市中心巡行，紀念澳洲軍人的奉獻。澳紐軍團日源於第一次世界大戰，旨在悼念戰爭中犧牲的軍人。每年紀念日，各區代表皆會聚集在紀念碑前獻花，緬懷英勇將士的驍勇表現。雪梨南區佛光童軍團由團長方婉晶及幹部，帶領佛光童軍、家長及佛光人一行五十人出席，並由國際佛光會雪梨協會南一分會幹部吳永純帶領稚齡童軍Lucca代表獻花。佛光山開山祖師星雲大師一生推崇社會和諧、世界和平，若人人心中有包容，就能促進世界和平。而「澳紐軍團日」亦為童軍團傳統紀念活動，有助於童軍瞭解歷史並培養紀律，從黎明儀式至巡行活動來教導童軍尊重、包容的價值，讓佛光童軍從小培養緬懷國家英烈，做個有情有義，懂得感恩的人，進而創造和諧的社會。
