英外相到訪前夕 北京促歸還文物

【本報綜合報導】在英國外相柯維立傳將於二十九日到訪中國大陸之際，北京透過官媒要求英國大英博物館歸還大量中國文物，也是近年罕見的公開批評英國「在中國製造劫難，趁機劫掠或盜取文物」。

大英博物館坐擁八百萬件館藏，近期驚傳藏品失竊案，館長費雪引咎辭職。《環球時報》刊出社評指出，該館二千餘件文物失蹤案「牽動所有在大英博物館有文物的國家的心」，呼籲該館「將所有通過非正當渠道獲取的中國文物無償歸還，不要再採取牴觸、拖延和敷衍態度」。

大英博物館有約二萬三千件來自中國的文物，社評點名這「大多都是當年英國趁火打劫，甚至直接對中國製造劫難趁機劫掠或盜取得來的」，還批評禁止博物館返還任何藏品的英國《大英博物館法》，強調大英博物館是英國殖民擴張歷史的一個縮影。

這起「官媒追討文物」事件，時間點亦相當敏感。據路透報導，英國外相柯維立預計於八月二十九日到訪北京，這也將是五年來英國外相首度訪問大陸，是倫敦尋求重新平衡與北京關係的一項努力。大陸朝鮮事務特別代表劉曉明已證實此事。
