美10億等級天災 今年23起破紀錄

【本報綜合外電報導】據美國國家海洋暨大氣總署（NOAA）數據顯示，今年1月至8月期間，美國災損達10億美元的天氣與氣候災害，高達23起，打破2020年22起的紀錄。而2023年還要4個月才結束。

法新社報導，這些災害包括8月夏威夷火災、春季加州洪水，以及8月30日登陸佛羅里達州的颶風伊達利亞（Idalia）。另有2起天候災害有可能也達10億美元等級，但仍待調查，包括西岸熱帶風暴希拉里（Storm Hilary）以及影響南部和中西部的乾旱。

此類天候災害，在1980至2022年間平均僅8.1起，2018至2022年間，每年已平均18起。美國今年經歷有紀錄以來第9暖的8月。
