【特派記者張哲郢杭州報導】杭州亞運卡巴迪男子組賽事，首度派隊參賽的中華男子隊在分組賽第3戰面對上屆第5名的孟加拉，以31：18收下3連勝、晉級4強，至少銅牌起跳，確定奪下卡巴迪男子隊亞運史上首面獎牌，5日與強敵印度爭奪分組龍頭。

源於印度的卡巴迪運動，1990年成為亞運正式項目，上屆拿下銅牌的中華女子隊，本屆在分組賽前2戰面對印度、泰國，拿下1勝1和，昨日分組賽最後一戰以35：24擊敗南韓，挺進4強，與男子隊同樣保底銅牌。

女子隊分組賽拿下2勝1和，與印度同戰績，不過在比較得失分後，由印度取得分組龍頭，中華則以分組第2晉級，4強戰與上屆金牌伊朗爭鋒。
