【人間社記者楚顏靜洛杉磯報導】西來寺三好學園19日展開感恩之旅，拜訪鄰近的警察局、消防局，並且特別製作了巨型感恩卡，向每天冒著生命危險，保護社區安全第一線的警消英雄表達感激之情。「感謝您的付出！」學生們造訪了工業市警察分局（City of Industry）、加州公路巡警聖塔菲泉分局（California Highway Patrol Santa Fe Springs Station）、洛杉磯縣第91號消防分局及La Habra市消防分局，齊聲表達對警消辛勞的感激。警察帶領學生參觀辦公室，展示了彈夾、電擊槍、警徽、警棍等工具；消防員介紹消防車內部、設備、急救工具，甚至讓學生們輪流模擬體驗心肺復甦術，鼓勵孩子們長大後加入救護工作的行列。工業市警察分局警員Hugo Sanchez-Lara表示，平常很少有學校到訪，收到孩子們親手製作的卡片，感到驚喜和欣慰。警員們紛紛拿出手機拍照留念。
