瑞典發現 歐洲最大稀土礦床

【本報綜合外電報導】瑞典北部地區發現歐洲目前已知最大的稀土礦床，提高歐洲想減少依賴中國大陸稀土的希望。

瑞典國有礦業公司盧奧薩山基呂納山公司（LKAB）12日表示，在拉普蘭（Lapland）地區新近勘探到的礦床含有超過100萬噸稀土氧化物，但至少需要10年時間才能開始採礦。

稀土對製造電動車至關重要，LKAB表示，「這對實現綠色轉型來說非常關鍵，計劃提交開採特許申請，預計需要幾年來深入勘探，研究礦床及可持續開採條件。」

雖然此一發現據信是歐洲最大的稀土礦床，但占全球總儲量比重相當小，不到美國地質調查所（US Geological Survey）估計全球稀土蘊藏量1.2億噸的百分之一。
