【植物筆記】 到手香

沒看過土種的到手香可以這麼細緻可愛。

到手香易種好養，牆角有些許土水，它就長成一大片。有人拿它作手工皂，聽說對痱子有抑制作用，也有人喜歡那稍加摩娑就很濃烈的香氣。

到手香的葉片通常對生，齒狀緣有點上捲。這兩段到手香真不同，細小的葉片雖也兩兩對生，乍看之下卻更像排列有序的花朵。趕緊拍照傳給喜愛多肉的婷玉老師。

婷玉嘖嘖稱奇，問道：「怎麼種的？刻意控水嗎？」其實沒有刻意栽培，反而是因它長得太繁茂了，本該直立的莖都匍匐蔓生，實在不雅，只好又扯又折地好好整理一番。幾近一星期了，隨手拋棄的廢枝仍然維持青綠，枝尾則開成密實的花朵，意外可觀。

想來，植物面臨危機亦自有因應之道，譬如遇極乾旱時，許多樹花都大爆開；譬如到手香縮小葉片，以延長乾枯之期。
