悉達多太子是一位純潔的修道者，有正確的見解和不屈不撓的精進，有無邊的智慧之光，有平等的慈悲之心，散發出大日輪的光明，照亮世間的黑暗，看到了慳貪、瞋恚、愚痴的毒害，成為智慧明燈，解脫世間生死大苦的良醫。

註：內心的魔，即是貪、瞋、痴三毒。〈十二因緣圖〉中以雞代表慳貪，蛇代表瞋恚，豬代表愚痴。
