停紅燈竟睡著 查出睡眠呼吸中止症

【記者王淑芬高雄報導】患有高血壓、高血糖和高血脂「三高」慢性病的蔡男常覺得睡不飽，白天開計程車也會不小心打瞌睡，即使一直喝咖啡提神，仍會恍神打盹，經就醫檢查，原來是患有嚴重阻塞性睡眠呼吸中止症。

阮綜合醫院耳鼻喉科主治醫師劉嘉鈞指出，蔡男於就醫主訴睡不飽，開車有睡意、常會打盹，家人也指蔡男會打鼾，吵得令人無法入睡。

醫院為蔡男安排檢查，診斷出嚴重阻塞性睡眠呼吸中止症。劉嘉鈞指出，「睡眠呼吸中止症」是在睡眠中出現鼻咽、咽喉等上呼吸道部位阻塞，導致呼吸間歇或中斷，並於停止呼吸一段時間後，突然短暫暫停或倒吸一口氣，嚴重會造成呼吸道堵塞而窒息。

他說，阻塞性睡眠呼吸中止的主因在於口咽部阻塞，如果民眾有類似情形應該尋求耳鼻喉科醫師檢查治療。
