【本報台北訊】為便利國人出國旅遊，自動查驗通關再升級，內政部昨表示，只要年滿十二歲、身高一百四十公分以上的國人，以及持外僑居留證的外來人口，直接到閘道內錄存臉部影像或壓取指紋資料就可通關，簡化註冊程序，一次申請終身適用。

以往使用自動通關前，須先到人工櫃台辦理註冊，才可使用。現在升級「註冊及通關」二合一，通關更友善便捷。

內政部表示，我國目前已與美國、南韓、澳洲、義大利及德國等，簽署互惠使用自動通關（e-Gate），歡迎符合資格的國人多加利用。
