頻咳嗽以為感冒 竟染肺炎鏈球菌

【記者陳玲芳台北報導】七十四歲婦人，連續咳嗽三天、有濃痰，原以為是感冒，自行至藥局購買感冒糖漿服用，但症狀遲遲未改善，不但出現發燒、狂咳，甚至快喘不過氣；就醫檢查發現，右側肺部有大葉性肺炎跡象，經痰液化驗，證實是肺炎鏈球菌作祟。

亞洲大學附屬醫院家庭醫學科主治醫師賴芳宇指出，肺炎鏈球菌是呼吸道疾病常見菌種，傳播途徑為吸入含有病原菌之飛沫，或直接接觸含有病原菌的口鼻分泌物。

賴芳宇表示，呼吸道本身具有分泌黏液、以纖毛清除病原菌的功能，但「高齡」可能讓此功能降低，若本身免疫力下降或原本患有慢性疾病，就較易感染。
