拜登提名對陸鷹派坎伯 任副卿

【本報綜合外電報導】美國總統拜登一日宣布，提名白宮國安會印太事務協調總監坎伯出任副國務卿，接下雪蔓七月底退休後遺缺。

現年六十六歲的坎伯，在拜登政府主導美國的印太政策；拜登二○二一年上任後，在國安會新設印太事務協調總監，指派坎伯出任；坎伯曾數度參與美中高層對話與美台高層對話，被認為是主導拜登政府對中政策的強硬派，雪蔓也被認為是對中鷹派。

中共中央外事辦公室主任兼外交部長王毅上周訪問華府，會晤拜登時，坎伯也現身在美中會談照片中；正當拜習會緊鑼密鼓準備前夕，拜登宣布提名坎伯。

坎伯主張對中國競爭但不尋求對抗或新冷戰，要負責任管理雙邊關係；針對台灣，坎伯表示，「我們支持強健的美台非官方關係，我們不支持台灣獨立，我們完全了解其敏感性」。
