【本報台北訊】諾魯與我斷交，AIT主席羅森伯格表示失望，強調聯合國2758號決議未決定台灣地位、未排除任何國家與台灣建立外交關係。

對此大陸外交部強硬回擊，指美國公然「對中國外交竭力汙衊抹黑，為台灣地區拓展國際空間說項，嚴重違反一個中國原則和中美三個聯合公報，嚴重干涉中國內政，嚴重違背國際關係基本準則」。
