新冠疫苗貼片列印機 開發成功

【本報綜合外電報導】科學家24日宣布開發出首部行動列印機，能夠列印出拇指指甲大小的新冠mRNA疫苗貼片，這款桌上型列印機有望替偏鄉居民提供對抗病毒的免疫力。

法新社報導，儘管這台疫苗3D列印機還需數年才有機會投入使用，也有許多問題仍待克服，但專家們依然樂見這項「令人興奮」的新發明。

這款列印機列印出的每片貼片寬約2公分，上面布滿數以百計根細針，透過壓在皮膚上來注射疫苗。

相較傳統手臂注射，這種「微針貼片」具有許多優勢，包括可以自我給藥、疼痛感相對低，疫苗猶豫族群的接受度也更高，而且能夠在室溫下長時間保存。

根據英國《自然生物科技期刊》（Nature Biotechnology）發表的一項研究，這款新型列印機已實際利用輝瑞及莫德納疫苗展開測試。
