【本報綜合外電報導】挪威資料保護局7日說，臉書母公司Meta Platforms將於8月14日起，因侵犯隱私面臨每天100萬挪威克朗（約新台幣312萬元）的罰款，這項決策的實施可能擴大到其他歐洲地區。

挪威資料保護局（Datatilsynet）曾於7月17日表示，如果該公司不解決監管機關發現的隱私侵犯問題，將會被處以罰款。

挪威資料保護局曾表示，Meta不能在挪威蒐集使用者位置等用戶資訊，並利用這些數據做針對性廣告投放。這就是所謂的「行為定向廣告」，那是一種科技巨擘常用的商業模式。

Meta必須在8月4日前向監管機關證明已解決問題。

挪威資料保護局國際部主管周定（Tobias Judin）告訴路透，自14日開始，將祭出每天100萬挪威克朗的罰款，一直持續到11月3日。
